Pre-order Prints by Roger Mendoza

In the last 2 months I have accumulated over 500 fans on my Facebook Page!  I have to say, that just motivates and inspires me to know that I have so much support for the work I do.  Over the course of this time many fans have expressed interest in purchasing prints and commissioning me for original pieces.  It’s an honor to know that people would like to hang my artwork on their walls for display and I want to make that opportunity available to everyone.

That said, be on the lookout for an announcement to pre-order limited prints of several of my paintings.

I will keep you posted on the details.  Email me at: rogermendoza74@gmail.com

to let me know of your interest.

Networking by Roger Mendoza

Social networking is the newest craze of our time, and I am all about social networking.  You can, of course, become a fan of my work on Facebook, or follow me here through my blog.  Social networking is not only possible via the internet, however.  We are social beings after all, and we surround ourselves with others who bring meaning, convenience, entertainment, and physical fulfillment to our lives.  Learning to take advantage of those social networks (and not necessarily in a negative way) is a trade we learn with time.  This idea of social networking became the inspiration for my next piece.

Recently, I was commissioned to paint for a couple looking for a 3 piece collection to decorate their home.  Their request was simple: the piece should be classy and sexy–they wanted to hang it in their living room.  Sounds simple enough right?

The couple left me at liberty to produce a painting with few restrictions and so, I began brainstorming an idea that would, of course, reflect my style of bright and vivid color interpretation that I love to work with.  I knew I wanted to paint a “social networking” scene of several couples enjoying themselves at a bar, a “classy” bar that is.  And because the couple commissioning me wanted it to be sexy, I knew I had to paint beautiful women, different types of beautiful women who knew how to have fun and how to network.

I invite you to experience my painting in process:

I will update you as I continue.
